Just a perfect day,
Drink sangria in the park,
And then later, when it gets dark,
We go home.
Just a perfect day,
Feed animals in the zoo
Then later, a movie, too,
And then home.

Oh its such a perfect day,
Im glad I spent it with you.
Oh such a perfect day,
You just keep me hanging on,
You just keep me hanging on.

Just a perfect day,
Problems all left alone,
Weekenders on our own.
Its such fun.
Just a perfect day,
You made me forget myself.
I thought I was someone else,
Someone good.

Oh its such a perfect day,
Im glad I spent it with you.
Oh such a perfect day,
You just keep me hanging on,
You just keep me hanging on.

Youre going to reap just what you sow,
Youre going to reap just what you sow,
Youre going to reap just what you sow,
Youre going to reap just what you sow…

Moby

You said you wanted me that was just a lie
You said you loved me that was just a lie
All I needed was someone who could keep me warm at night
You tried it baby it didn’t work and now I know that this is gonna be
The end

But you lied

You said you needed me that was just a lie
You said the truth once that was just a lie
All I needed was someone who could keep me warm at night
You tried it baby but it didn’t work and now I know that this is gonna be
The end
Oh but you lied

All I needed was someone who could keep me warm at night
You tried it baby it didn’t work and now I know that this is gonna be
The end
Oh but you lied

da Fiori di fuoco. 100 poesie d’amore maledetto, Arnoldo Mondadori Editore, pag. 124

Anne Sexton

La bocca mi fiorisce come taglio.

Maltrattata tutto l’anno in lunghe

Zac! Una resurrezione!

Una volta era una barca, piuttosto legnosa

e senza impegno, senza acqua salata

e bisognosa di qualche ritocco. Non era altro

che un mucchio di tavole. Ma tu l’hai attrezzata, l’hai issata.

Tu l’hai scelta.

I miei nervi sono tirati. Come strumenti musicali

li ascolto. Là dove era silenzio

i tamburi e gli archi senza tregua continuano a suonare. Il merito è tuo.

Genialità pura all’opera. Caro, il compositore è caduto nel fuoco.

I awoke on impact

Under surveillance from the camera eye

Searching high and low

The criminal mind found at the scene of the crime

Handcuffed and blind, I didn’t do it

She said she loved me

I guess I never knew

But do we ever, ever really know?

She said she’d meet me on the other side

But I knew right then, I’d never find her

I don’t believe in love

I never have, I never will

I don’t believe in love

It’s never worth the pain that you feel

No more nightmares, I’ve seen them all

From the day I was born, they’ve haunted my every move

Every open hand’s there to push and shove

No time for love it doesn’t matter

She made a difference

I guess she had a way

Of making every night seem bright as day

Now I walk in shadows, never see the light

She must have lied ’cause she never said goodbye

I don’t believe in love

I never have, I never will

I don’t believe in love

I’ll just pretend she never was real

I don’t believe in love

I need to forget her face, I see it still

I don’t believe in love

It’s never worth the pain that you feel

No chance for contact

There’s no raison d’etre

My only hope is one day I’ll forget

The pain of knowing what can never be

With or without love it’s all the same to me

I don’t believe in love

I never have, I never will

I don’t believe in love

I’ll just pretend she never was real

I don’t believe in love

I need to forget her face, I see it still

I don’t believe in love

It’s never worth the pain that you feel

Labbra blu - Cristina Donà/ Diaframma

C’è una ferita in fondo al cuore

Grande come non l’hai vista mai

Guarda il sangue e il suo colore

E’ bellissima

C’è un grande salto in fondo al cuore

Prima deserto

Adesso un’oasi

Via i cancelli per favore

Che non mi servon più

Via le lame dal mio cuore

Via le cose che lo umiliano

Carro che non vuol cadere

Nella stupidità

Sulle labbra era il sapore

Del mattino che hai inventato tu

Guarda adesso come piove

Sulle mie labbra blu

Guarda adesso come piove

Sui sentieri in fondo all’anima

Storie che non hanno odore

E la mia realtà

Vorrei dare un nuovo nome

Nuova linfa a tutto quel che c’è

Ma ogni cosa è una ferita

Che mi ricorda te

Aerosmith - Dream On

Every time I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face getting clearer
The past is gone
It goes by, like dusk to dawn
Isn’t that the way
Everybody’s got their dues in life to pay

Yeah, I know nobody knows
where it comes and where it goes
I know it’s everybody’s sin
You got to lose to know how to win

Half my life
is in books’ written pages
Lived and learned from fools and
from sages
You know it’s true
All the things come back to you

Sing with me, sing for the year
Sing for the laughter, sing for the tears
Sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good lord will take you away

Yeah, sing with me, sing for the year
sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away

Dream On Dream On Dream On
Dream until your dreams come true
Dream On Dream On Dream On
Dream until your dream comes through
Dream On Dream On Dream On
Dream On Dream On
Dream On Dream On

Sing with me, sing for the year
sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away
Sing with me, sing for the year
sing for the laughter, sing for the tear
Sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away……

 Nazim Hikmet

1948

In questa notte d’autunno

sono pieno delle tue parole

parole eterne come il tempo

come la materia

parole pesanti come la mano

scintillanti come le stelle.

Dalla tua testa dalla tua carne

dal tuo cuore

mi sono giunte le tue parole

le tue parole cariche di te

le tue parole, madre

le tue parole, amore

le tue parole, amica.

Erano tristi, amare

erano allegre, piene di speranza

erano coraggiose, eroiche

le tue parole

erano uomini.

Sinéad O’Connor

I’ll remember it
And Dublin in a rainstorm
And sitting in the long grass in summer
Keeping warm
I’ll remember it
Every restless night
We were so young then
We thought that everything
We could possibly do was right
Then we moved
Stolen from our very eyes
And I wondered where you went to
Tell me when did the light die
You will rise
You’ll return
The phoenix from the flame
You will learn
You will rise
You’ll return
Being what you are
There is no other Troy
For you to burn
And I never meant to hurt you
I swear I didn’t mean
Those things I said
I never meant to do that to you
Next time I’ll keep my hands to myself instead
Oh, does she love you
What do you want to do?
Does she need you like I do?
Do you love her?
Is she good for you?
Does she hold you like I do?
Do you want me?
Should I leave?
I know you’re always telling me
That you love me
Just sometimes I wonder
If I should believe
Oh, I love you
God, I love you
I’d kill a dragon for you
I’ll die
But I will rise
And I will return
The Phoenix from the flame
I have learned
I will rise
And you’ll see me return
Being what I am
There is no other Troy
For me to burn
And you should’ve left the light on
You should’ve left the light on
Then I wouldn’t have tried
And you’d never have known
And I wouldn’t have pulled you tighter
No I wouldn’t have pulled you close
I wouldn’t have screamed
No I can’t let you go
And the door wasn’t closed
No I wouldn’t have pulled you to me
No I wouldn’t have kissed your face
You wouldn’t have begged me to hold you
If we hadn’t been there in the first place
Ah but I know you wanted me to be there oh oh
Every look that you threw told me so
But you should’ve left the light on
You should’ve left the light on
And the flames burned away
But you’re still spitting fire
Make no difference what you say
You’re still a liar
You’re still a liar
You’re still a lawyer

Penniwit, The Artist

I lost my patronage in Spoon River

From trying to put my mind in the camera

To catch the soul of the person.

The very best picture I ever took

Was of Judge Somers, attorney at law.

He sat upright and had me pause

Till he got his cross-eye straight.

Then when he was ready he said “all right”.

And I yelled “overruled” and his eye turned up.

And I caught him just as he used

to look

When saying “I except”.
